Tamara Moshman, M.Ed.

Tamara Moshman has over twenty years of experience teaching and working as an academic tutor. She has her B.A. and M.Ed in education from The American University. Her background includes being a resource teacher in the Baltimore City Public School system and teaching at The Lab School of Washington for six years. During these years she designed individualized reading programs to ensure the success of her students. She is a certified Phono-Graphix tutor and has an extensive background teaching other phonetic programs as well as sight word techniques and whole language programs.

Tamara also has comprehensive experience teaching enrichment programs and tutoring students who need support with math skills, organization, the writing process and reading comprehension skills. She is able to assess, create and implement programs that address each student's immediate and long term goals to empower their success. Additionally, she has worked extensively with many international families over the last 15 years in English as a Second Language (ESL) programs and is familiar with the curriculum in Montgomery County Public Schools as well as the area private schools.
